Display Chapter and Footnotes

7 Be still and rest in the LORD; wait patiently for him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait upon the LORD shall inherit the earth. [Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Mat 5:5. Blessed are those who have been changed by the Spirit of God to become humble, gentle, and in control of their emotions, for they shall inherit a new earth for by your persistent and patient waiting on the Lord, He changes you to become meek with great self-control. From the word of the Lord within: "Those who wait on the Lord shall inherit a new earth."]

10 For in a little while, the wicked shall be no more; yes, you will diligently look where they used to be, but they will not be found.

38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked will be cut off.
