28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.2 [Come — not to sect services that claim He is in their building, not to prayer meetings, not to altar calls, not to read the Bible; Jesus even said that studying the scriptures is not coming to Him. John 5:39-40. We must go directly to Him, by sitting in humble silence as we wait on Him, listening for His voiced commands and teachings. Come all of you who labor against sin, all who are heavy burdened with your sins, and He will destroy the sins in your heart; and then you will be at rest.]
2 Turn you eyes away from other things and fix them on Jesus, the author and finisher [perfecter] of our faith,2 who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. [By revelations to you Jesus authors your faith, increases your faith, and finally perfects your faith, until you attain salvation, (freedom from sin), and later union with Christ and God. From the Word of the Lord within: "Faith is a series of revelations." You sit and wait on God, listening, watching, and then obeying. His spoken words heard impart the life of God into your heart, John 6:63. You grow in faith with each revelation received. ]
9 And being made perfect, he [Jesus] became the author and source of eternal salvation to all those who heed and obey him;1 [Salvation is to be delivered (freed) from all sin, even the desires, through persistent obedience to the Spirit that mortifies the selfish human spirit on the inward cross of self-denial. You must persistently and patiently wait for Him in silence to hear his commands, as you listen and watch; then heed and obey Him.]
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.
16 For by him all things were created that are in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by him and for him;
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

37 All whom the Father gives me shall come to me; and he who comes to me I will never cast out. [Come — not to sect services, not to prayer meetings, not read the Bible, not to altar calls — but come directly to him, by waiting on Him in humble silence as you listen for his voiced commands and teachings.]
