28 And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.1 [From the Word of the Lord within: "No soul is immortal apart from me." There is no permanent soul of man, unless that man unites in union with Christ and the Father; those who fail to do so while on earth, will lose their soul.]
6 By mercy and truth iniquity [sin] is purged [from the heart], and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. [What truth purges evil to make you free of sin?—the word of truth that you hear spoken to you by the Lord. If you continue in my word, you are true disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32. In what word are you to continue or abide and obey?—the word that is within your heart to hear and obey, Rom 10:8, Deu 30:11-15.]
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
|1 Timothy 5:20|
20 Rebuke those who continue in sin before everyone, so that others may fear also.2 [Notice! In the early church sin was not tolerated; those sinning were to be publicly exposed and rebuked, so that others in the assembly would be fearful of sinning themselves and also suffering a public rebuke. Does this even faintly resemble today's so-called Christianity? NO, because today's Christianity has trampled on grace, turning it into a license for immorality, instead of the teaching process of how to stop sinning and live a godly life. And so, there is no fear of God within Christendom; yet the fear of God is the absolute starting point of religion; without fear to motivate you to turn from evil, you are hopelessly lost.]
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who do his commandments have a good understanding; his praise endures forever.
|Proverbs 8:13,9:10 |
13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and deceitfulness.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
