John 10:10

Display Chapter and Footnotes

10 The thief only comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly [in a superior form].1 [The life, of which he spoke, is the life of God, the Spirit of Christ, which is the light. Every man who comes into the world has a small measure of the light within him, chained down by the darkness. Christ came to show man how to increase the life or light to abundance, so man would no longer walk in the blind darkness of his own will, but would walk in the light to become children of the light, performing God's directed works to the glory of God. From the Word of the Lord within: "Obedience leads to restoration of life. I have come that you might have life, the superior life of God."]

John 6:63

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life-giving.6 [Jesus is the bread of life: the life of God. From the Word of the Lord within: " The words I speak to you impart life; the Spirit gives life with every word heard." To acquire more of Jesus, (the life), you must get quiet, wait on Him, listen, hear His words that he speaks to you, and then obey what He commands. His words that he speaks to us impart the life of God to us and are engrafted into our hearts; and since Jesus is the life of God, His spoken words form Jesus within us, until finally He is resurrected in us to be our true Lord, ruling our thoughts, words, and deeds.]

John 8:12

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world [every man]. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of Life."2 [The Light (Christ) is given to every man who comes into the world, John 1:9, so that through the Light, all men might believe, John 1:7; and by abiding in the Light and obeying the Light, receive salvation to become a child of the light, a son of God. To follow Jesus is to obey what He shows and speaks to you by revelation. If you do not keep or obey the words you hear Christ speak to you, those words will be your judge when you die. John 12:47-48. From the Word of the Lord within: "Obedience leads to restoration of life."]

2 Corinthians 3:6

6 Who has made us able ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter [the Bible], but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.1 [The letter is the scriptures. Little by little each spoken word from His Spirit that you hear is engrafted into your heart and imparts the life of God to you making you a little more pure.]

James 1:21

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and residue of wickedness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.3 [If you humbly believe and obey the words that you hear Christ speak to you, they are engrafted into your heart, fulfilling the scripture: I will put my laws into their hearts, and I will write them in their minds (inward understanding). Heb 10:16. From the Word of the Lord within: "You must obey every law the Spirit establishes."]

1 John 5:12

Display Chapter and Footnotes

12 He who has the Son has life; and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. [Because of Adam's fall, we all are dead to the life of God, Gen 2:17,3:24, having been cut off from eating from the tree of life. The life this references is the life of God, which is received when you are freed from all sin, translated into the Kingdom of Heaven, and enter union with God and Christ. To have the life, is to have Christ, who is the life; and is to be restored to the spiritual image of God in true righteousness and holiness. To have the life is to be in the kingdom eating from the tree of life again. From the Word of the Lord within: "The new life is as radically different as a man who has lived underground his whole life, suddenly coming above ground to see the sun, the sky, the plants, the animals, the wind, the stars."]
