|1 Kings 19:9-13 |
Then he came to a cave and lodged there; and behold, the word of the LORD came and said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" [The Word of God came to Elijah in a cave; scriptures do not travel. The Word of God spoke to Elijah; scriptures do not talk. But the Spirit of Jesus, whose name is the word of God, both travels and speaks. The Bible, scriptures, or any writing is not the Word of God; the Word of God is a living being, the Spirit of Jesus: "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." Revelation 19:12-16.]
And he said, "I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword. And I, only I, am left, and they seek to take my life."
Then the LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mount before the LORD. And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake;
And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still, small voice.
And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, and he went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
