|1 Corinthians 1:20-21|
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God by the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. [The wise of the world, including Christianity, considers the message and hope of the true gospel attained by repentance while bearing the cross to be foolishness, superfluous, and useless; the wise of the world are perishing.]
|1 Corinthians 2:5-6 |
5 So that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. [To have faith in the power of God, you must have that power revealed to you, shown to you, so that you experience and taste the power of the world to come. Faith must be revealed to a man by Jesus himself .]
6 However we speak wisdom in those who are perfect;1 yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world who come to nothing.
