|1 Corinthians 14:27-28 |
27 If any men speaks in a tongue [language], let it be limited to two, or at the most to three, and that by taking turns; and let one interpret. [If two or more people are speaking in tongues simultaneously, then the tongues are not from the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is not going supply words to multiple people simultaneously; that would contradict the instructions Paul has given to take turns, which instructions originated from the Holy Spirit. As Paul wrote in verse 33, "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace and order."]
28 But if there is no interpreter, let them keep silent in the church; and let them speak to themselves and to God.
