2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Finally, brothers, farewell. Be perfect,4 be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
13 You shall be perfect with the LORD your God.1
1 John 2:5,4:12
5 But whoever keeps his word [obeys the Lord's commands spoken to him], truly the love of God is perfected in him;1 by this we know that we are in him. [Anyone who claims to be in Christ when they are not crucified is taking His name in vain; or doing anything while stating you do it in His name or in the name of Jesus is also taking His name in vain.]
12 No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. [Jesus Christ, who was a part of God from the beginning, reveals God through himself. To see Jesus revealed in your heart, is to see God. Jesus is the image and substance of the invisible God. Col 1:15.]
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.6 [There are many scripture references to the requirement of perfection in the New Testament, (click to see), and in the Old Testament too, (click to see).]
14 For by one offering he has forever totally cleansed and perfected those who are sanctified and made holy.1
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you what is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.2 [A true Christian is crucified and purified by the grace of God, able to do God's will on earth as it is done in heaven; that is a true Christian's sole purpose: to pray, to speak, and to act as God directs, thus to bring pleasure, honor, and glory to God.]
1 Therefore, leaving the elementary principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works,1 and of faith toward God, [Yet Christianity has forgotten the elementary principles and foundation of repentance and faith, which is to hear the word from within your heart and obey all commands you hear to repent. Instead the children of Christendom today search the scriptures looking for proof they that they already have eternal life and need do nothing but believe in Jesus. From the Word of the Lord within: "the perfection of man frees from death; repent of your evil." Dead works are decided to be done by the carnal mind and will of men who are dead to the life of God that Adam lost for all men. Works of obedient faith to God's orders are not dead works and are essential.]
23 I in them, and you in me,4 that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.
13 Until we all come to the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;5 [If you are a perfect man and possess the fullness of Christ, you have everything possible: including fellowship with Christ and the Father, raised to heaven, sitting with Christ in the kingdom, in union with Christ and God, free from even the desire to sin, pure, holy, sanctified, permanently cleansed and perfected, and protected from ever sinning again — all while still alive on earth.]
40 The disciple is not above his master, but everyone who is perfect [purified, restored to the spiritual image of God, specifically authorized, and perfected] will be like his master. [To preach or teach with authorization, your evil heart must first be cleansed, purified, and perfected so you can hear from God every word to be spoken and see every deed to be done. If you are following an unperfected minister, you have been led into the ditch. Unperfected ministers seek their own glory and your money. Jesus told us to leave the unperfected, thus blind guides, which blindness he further discusses in the next verses.]
James 1:4
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.1 [Note! If you lack nothing, then you have everything possible, (including fellowship with Christ and the Father, raised to heaven, sitting with Christ in the kingdom, in union with Christ and God, free from even the desire to sin, pure, holy, permanently perfected, protected from ever sinning again — all while still alive on earth), as Paul wrote the perfect man does: Until we all come to the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; Eph 4:13. If you are a perfect man and possess the fullness of Christ, you have everything possible.]
