|Galatians 3:14-17 |
So that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Brothers, I speak in the terms of men that even a man's covenant [last will], once it has been confirmed, no man can make it void or add to it.
The promises were made to Abraham and his seed. He did not not say, plural "seeds;" but said, "And with your seed after you," which was [referring to Abraham's descendant], Christ.
And this I say, that the covenant, which was confirmed by God before the law that occurred four hundred and thirty years later, cannot be made void by the law, thus to make the promise of no effect.
