Hebrews 12:2

Display Chapter and Footnotes

2 Turn you eyes away from other things and fix them on Jesus, the author and finisher [perfecter] of our faith,2 who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. [By revelations to you Jesus authors your faith, increases your faith, and finally perfects your faith, until you attain salvation, (freedom from sin), and later union with Christ and God. From the Word of the Lord within: "Faith is a series of revelations." You sit and wait on God, listening, watching, and then obeying. His spoken words heard impart the life of God into your heart, John 6:63. You grow in faith with each revelation received. ]

Hebrews 5:9

9 And being made perfect, he [Jesus] became the author and source of eternal salvation to all those who heed and obey him;1 [Salvation is to be delivered (freed) from all sin, even the desires, through persistent obedience to the Spirit that mortifies the selfish human spirit on the inward cross of self-denial. You must persistently and patiently wait for Him in silence to hear his commands, as you listen and watch; then heed and obey Him.]

Ephesians 2:8

Display Chapter and Footnotes

8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not by yourselves. It [faith] is the gift of God.4 [Faith is not belief in Jesus based on the historical accuracy of the Bible; faith is hearing the word of God from within your heart, for faith is the gift of God and is authored by revelation from Jesus Christ.]
