Display Chapter and Footnotes

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and residue of wickedness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.3 [If you humbly believe and obey the words that you hear Christ speak to you, they are engrafted into your heart, fulfilling the scripture: I will put my laws into their hearts, and I will write them in their minds (inward understanding). Heb 10:16. From the Word of the Lord within: "You must obey every law the Spirit establishes."]

John 1:4

Display Chapter and Footnotes

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.2 [The word, who is Jesus, is the life of God and the light of men. Christ is the light of men: the true light that enlightens every man who comes into the world, given to them so that they might believe. John 1:7,9. The life of God in measure to control men was lost for all men when Adam disobeyed God and fell. When you have crucified your sinful, selfish life and are afterward restored to the righteousness and holiness of God's image, Christ, then you live in Christ, and Christ lives in you, controlling all your words and deeds; and this life is then eternal. Eternal life is to be a new creature in Christ on earth and forever.]

John 14:6

Display Chapter and Footnotes

6 Then Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by me. [The only way to reconciliation with God is through obedience to the heart and soul purifying grace of Jesus. He reveals all truth, about yourself and the mysteries of God. He is the light of men and the life of God, to which you must be restored in the righteousness and holiness of God's image, Jesus Christ.]

Galatians 4:19

19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ is formed in you,3 [Each word we hear Him speak to us imparts the life of God, who is Christ, to our hearts; each word is engrafted into our hearts forming Christ in us.]

Colossians 2:11-12,3:1

Display Chapter and Footnotes

11 In whom you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision performed by Christ.2 [Christ is the anointing, which teaches you all things and which circumcises your heart, cutting off the foreskin of sin and selfishness to become an inward Jew, inwardly circumcised.]

12 Buried with him in baptism, in which also you are risen with him through faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.3

1 If then you are risen with Christ, seek those things that are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.1

Ephesians 2:5-6

Display Chapter and Footnotes

5 And when we were dead in our sins, He brought us to life in union and fellowship with Christ;2 it is through grace that you are saved; [but you have not been saved by grace until you have been brought to life in union and fellowship with Christ, having been raised up together with Christ into heaven. From the Word of the Lord within: "Saved by grace; but what about the rest of that chapter? You have not experienced grace until you have been raised with Him."]

6 And has raised us up together [with Christ], and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.3 [This is to have experienced being translated into the kingdom of heaven, where you are with Christ in sight and consciousness. From the Word of the Lord within: "I work with the blind; but if you think you can see, and you are not with me in heaven, I will make you a laughingstock.]

Galatians 2:20

Display Chapter and Footnotes

20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.3 And the life, which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. [Christendom, with no knowledge of how to carry a cross, presumes that they have been crucified with Christ by imputation, which is make-believe Christianity. You must mortify your sinful nature on the inward cross of self denial so that you are freed of sin.]
