4 The fire of God has fallen from heaven, and has burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; This fire was not from God, it was from Satan. Angels, even fallen angels have incredible powers. Don't underestimate the power of the fallen angels; they can read your mind, and this is their least capability. They read your mind so they know exactly how to tempt you. They even watch your reasoning and pretend to be God giving you a twisted excuse to do evil, thinking you are doing God's will. Yet greater is he [Christ] who is in you than he who is in the world. And they are only allowed by God within the limits he sets, which he constantly monitors to be sure they are not exceeded.
