|John 6:54-56 |
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood, lives [continually] in me, and I in him.4
4 To live in Christ is to have died to self, to have crucified the flesh or sinful nature on the inward cross of self-denial. To live in Christ is to have put off the old man, to have put on the incorruptible. To live in Christ is to sit down in Christ in heaven. To live in Christ is to be one with Christ, and one with the Father, and one with all the other true disciples of Christ.
