31 Therefore take no thought, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or, 'What shall we drink?' or, 'With what shall we be clothed?'

32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need these.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.3 [Notice! To pursue the righteousness of God and His Kingdom is supposed to be the highest priority of your life — more than your efforts to provide food and clothing. Seek first the kingdom, which is peace, righteousness, and joy in the Spirit. Rom 14:17. To do so, in many scriptures, he told us, "Come to me;" come — not to sect services that claim He is in their building, not to prayer meetings, not to altar calls, not to read the Bible; Jesus even said that studying the scriptures is not coming to Him. John 5:39-40. We must go directly to Him; he told us us how to seek Him, the one thing that is needed: to sit at His feet and listen to His words that he speaks to us, Luke 10:39-42. We sit by waiting in humble silence, listening, and watching while thinking of the name of Jesus; when we hear Him speak to us and then obey, we are following Jesus. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. Seek first the kingdom, and all else will be provided — provided you stay on course. He told us it was not enough to seek God, we must seek with all our heart and soul. Come to me, and I will guide the meek and lowly. God is not found going to services or reading about him. There is only one thing needful. Hear me, my children. Come to me, and I will speak to your souls. O seek the Lord you mighty, while you still have strength."]

27 To whom God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery in the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;5 [There are five stages of Christ being formed within you; see The Mystery, Christ in You for the detailed understanding. In his sermon early Quaker Stephen Crisp, who dwelled in the kingdom, testified that in one day under the government of Christ, (in the kingdom), one has more joy, pleasure, and delight than a thousand days outside it.]

11 Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face, to be in His presence continually!1[Turn inward to seek God for what may be known of God is revealed in them, Rom 1:19; God and Christ are only known by revelation. Mat 11:27. The kingdom of God is within you and around you. Luke 17:21. Faith comes by hearing the word which is in your heart and mouth to obey, that is the word of faith we preach. Rom 10:8,17]

24 For we are saved by hope;6 but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he has already seen? [Salvation is to be experienced, seen, not presumed. We hope for what we have not yet seen, salvation, (in next verse), but we wait for it with patient endurance, to see it brought to us. In this present life we are saved by the hope of: being taught by God, seeing God, being delivered from sin, being cleansed, purified, perfected, brought to holiness, to be in union with God, being translated into the kingdom, and more. From the Word of the Lord within: "Hope releases the power of God to change you. There is no hope for anyone outside the power of God."]

2 Beloved, now we are to be sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we will be, but we know that when He is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. [A Son of God is like Jesus, who is holy, harmless, pure, separate from sinners, and with no sin in Him; and when we see Him, we will be like Him. Jesus appears in the hearts of purified believers. Jesus is seen. Jesus is revealed. He who has been hidden is revealed, Christ in you, the hope of glory. From the Word of the Lord within: "You are a son when Jesus appears in your heart to guide you." Then you are like Him: holy, harmless, pure, without any sin.]

3 And every man who has this hope in him purifies himself, even as He [Jesus] is pure.2 [What hope?—The hope of being like Him and of seeing Jesus appear in your heart is the hope that saves and purifies you; for we are saved by hope. Rom 24. You must have this hope for the power of God to be released to purify you. For of this you can be sure, that no sexually immoral, or impure, or covetous person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Eph 5:5. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God, Mat 5:8. — Christ in you, the hope of glory.]

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In that greatly rejoice though it is necessary to suffer a few griefs now through various trials, [To receive salvation and the kingdom you first must suffer through tribulations and hardships. This has been mistranslated to be: you may have to suffer. Indeed, all who are determined to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Tim 3:12. The same sufferings are being experienced by all your brothers in the world. 1 Pet 5:9. Salvation comes after suffering. ]

9 Receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.3
