1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; and there was no more sea.
As the outstanding writing by George Fox titled A Word From the Lord, to All the World discloses, indicating that there is not only the seed of the Kingdom of Heaven within your heart, but that the world, (a copy of the earth as we know it), is in there too; and the Lord purges that earth of all evil to create a new heaven and earth. As we are translated into the kingdom of heaven, which throne is in our hearts, the earth is also restored to paradise, (as it was before the fall of Adam), in our hearts, conscience, and mind. There is also a quote from The Great Mystery of the Great Whore Unfolded, which further shows how Revelation is a personal experience that has already taken place in many hearts of true, persistent believers, who die to self on the inward cross of self-denial.
"But now are the vials, and thunders, and plagues, and trumpets sounding and going forth, and the seven woes going out; and now are the kings of the earth, and false prophets, and antichrists, and the mother of harlots, and the beast, and his names and horns, gathering together, with the old deceiver the devil, to battle against the Lamb, and the saints of the Lamb. But the Lamb and the saints have got (past tense) the victory, and the rivers of living waters are opening to all that thirst. Sing and rejoice, let us give glory to God, for now has (past tense) the marriage of the Lamb come."
In addition the following is from George Fox's Letter #91, which shows that the seven thunders and the seven bowls, (or vials), or plagues, including the hail and earthquakes, are an individual experience of tribulations in the revealing, (the revelation), of Christ within you:
In the spirit of the living God wait upon God,
to learn of and to be taught by him.
For now the beast opens his mouth in blasphemy,
speaking great swelling words.
And now is the cage of unclean birds, and the unclean spirits,
which are gone forth into the earth, seen.
And now are the locusts seen, and the caterpillars known.
And now are the seven thunders uttering their voices.
And now are the hailstones falling,
and the vials of the wrath of God pouring out upon the beast and the false prophet.
Further to Revelation being a personal experience, George Fox testifies in his writing on Why Silence:
He that has an ear to hear, let him hear: such as know the seven seals, shall know the silence in heaven. And when I saw the seven seals, there was silence for half an hour in heaven; he that can, read this and understand.
From his Journal George Fox relates his experience of the world in his heart being drastically modified to a new earth and new heavens.
I saw also the mountains burning up, and the rubbish, and the rough, and crooked ways and places made smooth and plain, that the Lord might come into his tabernacle. These things are to be found in man's heart; but to speak of these things being within, seemed strange to the rough, crooked, and mountainous ones. Yet the Lord said, " 0h earth, hear the word of the Lord!"
Now I came up in spirit, through the flaming sword,* into the paradise of God. All things were new, and all the creation gave another smell unto me than before, beyond what words can utter. I knew nothing but pureness, innocence, and righteousness...
Edward Burrough also wrote of the events in Revelation being a personal experience as shows in the following extracts from his memoir:
Then it pleased the Lord to send his true and faithful servant and messenger, who is called according to the flesh, G. Fox; he spoke the language which I knew not, not withstanding all my high talking, for it was higher and yet lower. And it pleased the Lord to speak to me by him, that I was in the prodigal state, and above the cross of Christ, and not in the pure fear of the Lord, but full of corruption and the old nature, though I had professed freedom, yet it was such as the Jews professed; for I saw myself to be in bondage to my own will and to my own lusts; and through the Word of the Lord spoken to me by him, began to see myself, (the witness being raised), where I was, and what I had been doing, and saw I had been making an image to the First Beast, which had the wound by the sword and did live, whose deadly wound was healed, and was full of airy notions and imaginations, and was worshiping the image that I had made; and then I saw myself to be a child of wrath, and that the son of the bond-woman lived, and harlots had been my companions, and I was not worthy to be called a son.
I was wanton, and lived in the lustful nature, among heathens, crucifying the Lord of Life; but the blood of that which I had slain cried continually, and the witness which lay slain would give me no rest, which the earthly made merry over; and I grew to be weary of hearing any of the priests though never so high, for something which shined deep in me showed me ignorant in all profession, and I was put to a stand many times in myself at those things that had come to pass.
In you, O land, will the Lord manifest his power and will stretch forth his arm for the deliverance of his chosen, and for the redemption of his two witnesses, which have lain slain in the great city in this land, which those who dwell upon the Earth have rejoiced over and made merry, and triumphed in their slaughter;
Edward Burrough also wrote that the many sects in Christendom along with the rulers of the world, were gathered together in the early Quakers' time to do battle with the saints, which is commonly referred to as Armageddon, which battle was, is, and is to come, (like Jesus, who is, who was, and who is to come, so is His revelation, so is the battle; all are experienced by those past, those present, and those in the future):
By faith with Abraham, have you come out of your native country, from your kindred, and out of your father's house: with Moses, have you forsaken the glory of Pharaoh's house, and chosen rather to suffer affliction among the poor despised people, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin. Great shall be your reward, you condemned ones; glory, honor and everlasting happiness is prepared for you if you stand faithful to the end. The Lord is with you as a mighty terrible one; and therefore shall all your persecutors be ashamed and confounded. The sound of a trumpet is heard among you, which makes all nations come to a stand, and all the heathen to wonder, and all the rulers, nobles, and chief priests are in consultation, combining together to suppress the Army of the Lord of hosts, which he is gathering together; fear not, nor be dismayed, for the sounding of your trumpet causes an alarm, and makes all the inhabitants of the land to tremble, and all bow before the sound of it, for the sound of it is terrible to the nations, to all kingdoms and dominions. The Lord of heaven is your captain, who rides upon the clouds, and whose glory is above the world; and therefore you shall obtain the conquest in the battle, and all your enemies shall be put to flight, and one of you shall chase one thousand, for he who has all power in his hand is with you; and all your enemies are limited by him.
Now consider the following:
So the world exists to find God. When we find God, He produces a new heaven and new earth within our hearts. But then further consider what messages from the Word of the Lord within apply:
- "Your heart is a mirror of the world." (which is apparently a three-dimensional image or duplication of the world.)
- "The world in every man is destroyed by the Lord." (which is what the Book of Revelation is about)
- "I am He who destroys the world."
- "I am He who powers the earth."
- "From this one earth shall many earths come forth."
- "There is a promise of more worlds to come."
- "Jesus is a mighty name to be declared in all the worlds to come.
- "Guard and protect his name."
- "Follow me and I will lead you to a new land."
- "You will explore a new land, a place where no one else has ever been."
- "The world will be regenerated as it was in the beginning, world without end. God's Spirit powers the earth."
- "There will be a mist released, which shall cover the whole earth."
- "Everything will be provided. The Lord will teach us the early way of life."
- "Let's go to a new land where children are a score."
- "The Lord's wisdom will rain the children."
- "The sole objective of the new world is to not harm children."
- "Witness alive in the new creation.
- "Those who wait on the Lord shall inherit a new earth."
Scriptures that confirm this are as follows:
So for each man who enters the kingdom while on earth, a new earth and heaven is created in their hearts. It also appears that the new earth and heaven will also actually exist somewhere apparently ruled by a priest and king under the direction of the King of kings and Lord of lords. Thus the crucified believer, (one who by a circumcised heart became a spiritual Jew of spiritual Israel), has truly inherited a kingdom, where after the second death he sits on the throne of Jesus, ruling that kingdom, as his words and deeds are performed as commanded by his King, the King of kings, Jesus Christ, (what a glorious plan!). Since Jesus does not sit on a physical throne in the physical earth, it is unlikely that the throne of the new heaven and earth will be anywhere but in that new heaven; and remember, the Lord's kings and lords must be like Him, who, though He was one with God and in the form of God, did not think this equality with God was something to be retained [held fast]; but made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; also remember the verses:
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with justice and with righteousness from this time forward even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isa 9:7.
And your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, so that I may be glorified. The least one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, the LORD will hasten it in its time. Isa 60:22.
You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11
You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psa 16:11
The rest is for the Lord to disclose to you in His good pleasure.
So now the major question arises: at some juncture is the physical, original earth similarly cleansed, as all the earths were cleansed in the hearts of the crucified believers? The messages from the Word of the Lord within seem to, (based on the limitations of my earthly mind), indicate that to be possible, as you can see from reading the footnotes in Isaiah 24; however, so great is the mystery of godliness, so great is the mystery of an earth within each man's heart, so great is the mystery of Revelation being a personal experience, it is entirely possible that all those messages refer to the earth within each man's heart; that earth being thinned of all sinners, populated and ruled by the Lord through His remaining, perfected saints whose thoughts, words, and deeds are all commanded by Him.
Messages, (received in late April 2013), from the Word of the Lord within were:
"The whole world believes what is about to happen couldn't happen."
"My intent is to shake the entire world into a knowledge of my being."
In order to shake the entire world into a knowledge of His being, I believe the Lord is more likely to effect powerful, supernatural miracles that cannot be explained away, rather than some catastrophe that can be rationalized as natural. The more likely sequence of events is: first convincing miracles, then warnings to herald the coming events, and later the troubles themselves. Convincing miracles would be performed by perfected members of His body, and the miracles would necessarily be on a scale far beyond anything the world thinks is remotely possible.
Based on the above sequence of events, plus the absolute reliability of Fox's and other early Quakers' testimonies of the seals, trumpets, and vials of Revelation being a personal experience, we should focus only on expecting personal troubles, trials, and tribulations so that we can enter the kingdom and be prepared for whatever physical events occur afterwards. The Lord has previously said: "I will warn people about the coming troubles, about which there is no comparison. I will give ample time before the destruction of sin." When you, (along with the rest of the world), hear the warnings clearly stated, you will know to complete any required preparations.
As George Fox clearly writes, the sea that shall exist no more, (in this footnote's verse 1), is Mystery Babylon, which is destroyed, definitely in the hearts of individual crucified believers and possibly in this earth in the near future.
