¹ When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him with them and explained the way of God more accurately to him. Priscilla was a woman, who with her husband took Apollos, a man, aside and corrected a man. How could that be, when Paul said he did not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man? Paul was speaking about women who were still under the law, whose tongues were not yet controlled by the Spirit of the Lord. But a woman who is led by the Spirit of God is a Son of God, and male and female are one in Christ.
