4 how will they preach, unless they are sent? Those who are sent to preach are the feet of Christ. To preach one must be specifically sent by the Spirit of God, to preach to a specific people at a specific time, and preach only with words heard from the Spirit as they speak. Jesus told us: "Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest." Mat 9:38. To be trained by a Bible College or seminary and then sent by a sect's organization, is not to be sent by God. A man must first be taught all things by the Spirit of God, trained to perfection by the Holy Spirit, specifically gifted the office of preacher, specifically sent by the Spirit of God, and then supplied words to speak by the Spirit of God; otherwise a man is not a minister of Christ, but a minister of Satan. To prophesy is to edify, exhort, and comfort. 1 Cor 14:3.... ‘I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran [to you] , I have not spoken to them, yet they have prophesy. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.’ Jeremiah 23:21-22.... Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets prophesy lies in my name. I did not send them, neither have I commanded them, nor spoken to them. They prophesy to you a false vision and divination, worthless from the deceit of their heart. Jer 14:14.
