|Colossians 3:9||Luke 3:14|
14 And the soldiers likewise asked him, saying, "And what shall we do?" And he said to them, "Don't take money from anyone by force, nor accuse anyone falsely; and be content with your wages."4 [Do not oppress anyone; don't lie; don't want more; don't complain.]
22 What is desired for a man is his kindness, and a poor man is better than a liar.
19 The lip of truth shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truly are his delight.
19 You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.'" [Notice! Jesus did not say that you must keep all the commandments; He listed only those that make up the moral core of the Law, which is included in the law that is written on every man's heart, by which all men shall be judged by God, and which has never been annulled or canceled.]
8 But the cowards, the unbelieving and faithless, the abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, magic art practitioners, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.2"
11 You will not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
14 Behold, the wicked is pregnant with iniquity, he has conceived mischief and given birth to lies.
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. [Infants cannot speak, so they cannot be speaking lies as soon as they are born. David is saying that we are born with the propensity to learn from the sinful environment that surrounds us, and with sufficient learning, we go astray in imitation of what we have learned; the seeds of Satan are sown into our hearts by our experiences and choices. This agrees with Genesis 8:21, "the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth;" not his infancy. Children are still very innocent and pure for as Jesus said, "Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven," Mat 19:14. Since only the pure enter the kingdom, even little children that walked to Jesus, as he was preaching, were declared innocent by him; and common sense tells us infants are without sin. From the Word of the Lord within: "What sin could an infant commit?" If we were born with sin, then infants who die would be sent to Hell without their having committed a single sin; that would signal God to be unjust, and he is just beyond measure.]
|Isaiah 63:8 |
8 For he said, "Surely they are my people, children who will not lie." So he was their Savior.
