5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savor, and the LORD said in his heart, "I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again destroy everything living, as I have done.1
16 These six things that the LORD hates; yes, seven are an abomination to him: [What the Lord hates will certainly be banned from heaven.]
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that imagines immoral plans, feet that are swift to run to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.3
12 And you have done worse than your fathers; for behold, every one of you walks after the imagination of his evil heart and mind, and therefore you do not listen to and obey me.1 [Until cleansed by the Lord, every man's heart and mind is full of evil. From the Word of the Lord within: "As many as are at their savior's feet, there are six things I will put in order in front of your eyes:
12 And they said, 'There is no hope of change for we will walk after our own desires, and we all follow the imagination of our evil hearts.'"
24 But they heeded not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
10 This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall be like this girdle, which is good for nothing.
8 Yet they did not obey, nor did they incline their ear to listen, but everyone walked in the imagination of their evil heart.1 Therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do and which they did not perform them."
14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart,1 and after Baals, which their fathers taught them:
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. Neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
|Luke 1:51 |
51 He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.1
