Corinthians 1:24-29

Display Chapter and Footnotes

But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For based on your calling, brothers, you can see that of those called, there are not many wise men after the flesh, nor many mighty, nor many noble.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty.

God has chosen the base things of the world and the things that are despised; yes, even things that are nothing, to bring to nothing the things that are,

So that no flesh might glory in his presence.
