Ephesians 6:5-8

Display Chapter and Footnotes

 5 Servants, be obedient to those who are your fleshly masters of the world, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as though you were serving Christ;

 6 Not only when being watched, as pleasing men; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

 7  Doing service with goodwill, as to the Lord, and not to men.

 8 Knowing that whatever good thing any man does, he will receive a reward from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

Colossians 3:22-24

Display Chapter and Footnotes

 22 Servants, obey your earthly masters in all things; not with eye service [only when they are watching you], as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God.

 23 And whatever you do, do it with your best possible efforts, as if you are serving the Lord, and not men;8 [From the Word of the Lord within: "Discharge every duty as grown-up men."]

 24 Knowing that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord that is the [real] reward; for you serve the Lord Christ.
