 20 Neither do I pray for these alone, but also for those also who will believe in me through their word [teachings];

 21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us3 so that the world may believe that you have sent me. [From the Word of the Lord within: "Salvation occurs when you are one with Christ and God. Once you are in union, it is permanent. If you pay attention and obey, it results in union with God. We should always approach God with the thought of being with him forever."]

 22 And the glory which you gave me I have given them; so that they may be one, just as we are one.

 23  I in them, and you in me,4 that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

 24 Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am;5 that they may behold my glory, which you have given me. For you loved me before the foundation of the world. [This applies to all his disciples, now and then. It refers to being translated into the Kingdom of Heaven, and to be raised with Christ to sit down in heavenly places in Christ; yet they are not taken out of the world (verse 15 above), physically; their consciousness and sight are in the peace of Heaven, viewing the earth from afar, (an immense spiritual gulf), through the eyes of God. If any man wants to serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will also be. John 12:26. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. I will come again to the elect; I will be a crown to lead and guide them." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise.]

 26 And I have declared to them your name, and will declare it, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."6

 16 For God so loved the world [every man] that he gave his only begotten Son [to every man], so that whoever believes in [depends on, trusts, obeys] him shall not perish, but have eternal life.2 [It is not enough to believe that Jesus is the Son of God; even the demons believe that Jesus is the Son of the most High God, and they tremble. You must believe what Jesus, the light and word within your heart, shows and says to you; to believe what He says and shows to you is to believe in Jesus. Christ is the light given to every man so that he might believe. John 1:1-4,7,9. To believe is to believe what you hear Him anonymously speak to you; believe enough to heed and obey Jesus, who is the Word of God and light of the Word in each man's heart that anonymously reproves you, (and every man), of sin. As the companion verses below (19,20,21) say: "And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world (every man), but men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil deeds (sins) hates the light (so hates Christ, who is the light) and does not come to the light for fear his deeds will be exposed and reproved. But he who practices truth comes to the light, so that his deeds may be shown to have been produced [formed and powered] through God." To have eternal life is to have lost your fleshly life, having persistently believed and obeyed Jesus' spoken commands to you, so that you enter union with Him, to then obey His ordered deeds to His glory and your joy.]

 36 While you have light, believe in [depend on, trust and obey] the light, that you may become the children of light." Jesus spoke these things and then departed to hide himself from them.4 [For "God is light." 1 John 1:5, and "the Father of Lights." James 1:17. The Light (Christ) is given to every man who comes into the world, John 1:9, so that through the Light, all men might believe, John 1:7; and by abiding in the Light and obeying the Light, receive salvation to become a child of the light, a son of God. To believe in the light is to believe what it shows you by revelation as true and then to keep and obey its teachings; this is to believe in Jesus because Jesus is that light. If you do not keep or obey the words you hear Christ speak to you, those words will be your judge when you die. John 12:47-48.]
