John 5:30

Display Chapter and Footnotes

30 Of my own self, I can do nothing. I judge only as I hear, [the Father's words of judgment]; and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me. [Jesus did nothing in his will, only by the Father's will; this is what it means when you pray: thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We have to learn and be changed to be able to only do the Father's will on earth, the same as the Father's will is done in heaven by the angels.]

John 15:5

5 I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man abides in me, and I in him, he produces much fruit; for without me you can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13

Display Chapter and Footnotes

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Galatians 2:20

Display Chapter and Footnotes

20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.3 And the life, which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. [Christendom, with no knowledge of how to carry a cross, presumes that they have been crucified with Christ by imputation, which is make-believe Christianity. You must mortify your sinful nature on the inward cross of self denial so that you are freed of sin.]

Galatians 5:17

Display Chapter and Footnotes

17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another. So that you cannot do the things you wish. [The flesh with its lusts and pride wars against your soul, the Spirit of God, and the inner law of God in you heart. This war must be won by you to victory, the overcoming of sin, the world, and the devil — for you to attain freedom from sin and salvation. This can only occur if you do not do the things you wish; you must crucify your lusts and fleshly desires to then be guided in thoughts, words, and deeds by God. You must be led by the Spirit, following Him, which is doing His will, not yours; the man of flesh, your carnal mind, and your will must die on the inward cross of self-denial.]

1 Peter 4:1-2

Display Chapter and Footnotes

1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind because he who has suffered in the flesh is finished with sin, [From the Word of the Lord within: "Any of you whose sting to bear has been hard, use these facts: 1) all have suffered before you; 2) sin is excoriated; 3) God will remove the burden in time; and 4) the same is experienced by every cleanliness-desired heart in the nations."]

2 So that you should not live the rest of your time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but [live] to the will of God.1
