John 14:6,10:9

Then Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by me. [It is not enough to believe Jesus is the Son of God; you must expose yourself to hearing him command your repentance and then obey him — repetitively until you see him bring your salvation. He guides you along this narrow way of the cross, in which you must daily deny yourself to follow, (obey), Him. As kingdom-dwelling Isaac Penington wrote: "the way is long, the travel hard, the enemies and difficulties many, and that there is need of much faith, hope, patience, repentance, watchfulness against temptations, etc., before the life (superior, eternal life of God) in them arrives." Each word you hear from Him transmits the life of Christ to be engrafted in your heart until he is fully formed and resurrected in you to be your true Lord who rules all your words and deeds. With endurance to the end, you will come to be a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Eph 4:13.]

I am the gate. If any man enters in through me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [Jesus is speaking of entering the kingdom; He is the way. From the Word of the Lord within: "I open the gate, and the oppressor is locked out."]

Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh,

And having a great high priest over the house of God,

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.2 [This water is not the water of the baptism of John. This water is water from heaven, the water of the Word, one of the three witnesses in the earth; by which water, born-again believers are washed — their minds, their souls, their spirits, and in their bodies, with this pure, heavenly water. The third witness in the earth, the blood of Jesus, is sprinkled in their hearts and consciences; by which blood they are sanctified, and they are cleansed from all their dead works to serve the living God and to serve their dead works no longer. These are the events that you must see, feel, and experience for you to be a true believer in the Son of God.]
