19 Many are the trials of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.1 [The word righteous in this context refers to a man seeking the righteousness of God and the kingdom of God as the highest priority in his life, Mat 6:33. The righteousness and kingdom of God are not attained until a man has suffered through seven trials, which trials test his faith.]

1 Many are the trials of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in the flesh is finished with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 1 Pet 4:1-2. Tribulation is not a hard day at the office, a car wreck, or some natural difficulty; it is unmistakably, supernaturally imposed. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps. 1 Pet 2:21. Paul was establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples, urging and warning and encouraging them to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] 'that it is through many trials and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.' Acts 14:22-23. The Lord shall deliver the righteous, Pro 11:8,21
